The Space

Meticulously restored and beautifully decorated with exquisite antiques, Hawksmoor House is a Cape Dutch style country retreat situated on a 220 hectare working farm, Matjieskuil.  Hawksmoor House is passionate about hosting exclusive events.

The Barn

The barn is a spectacular venue and can host up to 150 guests, and accommodation in 16 enchanting guest rooms in four buildings set around the historic ‘werf’, reflection pond and expansive gardens.  There are several beautiful locations on the property to hold your ceremony and/or reception.  The grounds are laid out to include a large lawn, lavender beds, vegetable, rose and herb gardens, and a swimming pool with a spectacular view of Table Mountain.

Special Occasions

The venue works with a select group of partners who are very familiar with the logistics, the intricacies and the little quirks of the beautiful farm. We can provide a wide range of activities for a special event, celebration, team development or creative escape. You dream it, and we’ll make it happen, from top-notch cooking classes to Hawksmoor wine pairing dinners in the elegant manor house, gin and jazz picnics on the historic lawns, open-air movie nights under the stars, a port tasting in the drawing room with the ambiance of a gorgeous fire place and opulent chandeliers, to a majestic hot air balloon ride before breakfast.

In the beautifully restored Cape Dutch Manor House, Hawksmoor is a peaceful haven where business planning and strategising is met with the tranquillity of a country retreat. We offer an intimate venue exclusive to smaller groups of up to 18 delegates.

Hawkmoor House has a variety of accommodation on the estate making it a perfect midweek or weekend destination sleeping 32 guests in 16 guest rooms.
