The Space

Boschendal provides a natural setting for any function or event.  Surrounded by the stunning Groot Drakenstein and Simonsberg mountains you will find a range of function venues to choose from to tailor your special event. Each beautiful space on the farm brings with it the opportunity to make lasting memories from small intimate gatherings to large celebrations and everything in between. All functions are catered by the in-house events team. Soil-to-fork menus use only the best quality seasonal ingredients sourced from our fields, gardens and local like-minded suppliers.

The Olive Press

It’s a large open space venue with wooden poplar trusses, a built-in fireplace and the main bar area. This venue has wooden sliding glass doors that entirely open up to a mosaic-tiled patio overlooking the picturesque Simonsberg and Drakenstein mountain ranges.  All functions offer delicious farm-to-table menus catered in-house by Executive Chef.  Up to 150 guests can be seated inside depending on the required layout. A further 80 guests can be seated in the adjoining covered outdoor veranda, weather permitting. To accommodate larger groups a marquee can be
placed on the Olive Press lawn (not supplied by venue).

Rhone Homestead

Our Cape Dutch historical Rhone Homestead with its lush private gardens is perfect for small, intimate events.  Its location next to the Rhone Rose Garden Picnic site and The Cellar Door Wine Tasting Room means easy access for guests to enjoy additional wine pairing and wine tasting experiences.

Mountain Villa

The Mountain Villa is not a function venue but rather an accommodation space with the option to host an intimate wedding or event. Stunning six-bedroom villa at the foot of the Simonsberg Mountain with views of the entire Franschhoek Valley. Perfect for an intimate outdoor wedding or event.  Min 3 night stay.

The Retreat

The natural surroundings make The Retreat perfect for smaller outdoor weddings or pre-wedding festivities.  The Retreat is a unique conferencing venue situated in a far corner of Boschendal Farm with exquisite mountain views and natural fynbos gardens.  This secluded venue with its eighteen two-bedroom self-catering cottages, communal boma, natural swimming pool, and a state-of-the-art indoor screening room offers a perfect blend of comfort, relaxation, and entertainment for a truly unforgettable experience. The Retreat is ideal for conferencing, team building and strategic executive breakaways.
